Did you know that 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year?

Our entry to Cake International 2016 was a fantastic sculpted novelty cake highlighting the pressure social media can place on people. 

We took phrenology - the study of someone's skull to determine their personality traits - and gave it a modern twist. Replacing human characteristics on our cake is the pressure of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media icons. 

The whole thing is entirely edible, and very tasty too! The head itself was carved from rich fruitcake, and coated in the finest Belgian chocolate, before being finished in fondant.

And given the head is life size, it's pretty heavy too! 

Most importantly though, we've tried to raise awareness of the mental health issues 1 in 4 of us will experience during any given year.
