We love making motorsport themed birthday cakes - so we were thrilled to hear from Ryan's family for this mega Isle of Mann TT cake! Ryan is really into his motorbike racing - we've made him a Valentino Rossi cake before, but this time it called for a cake themed on the infamous Guy Martin. 

The bottom tier was a red velvet and champagne sponge, covered in Belgian white chocolate ganache and the finest sugar paste. The design featured emblems from the infamous Isle of Mann TT road race that Guy Martin is so associated with. We adorned the cake with edible spanners and tools. 

On the cake board we made an edible cup of tea, and added Guy Martin's silhouette logo, as well as a few 3d splashes of tea!

On top of the second tier, which we carved and shaped to look like a motorbike wheel, we placed a replica of Guy Martin's helmet. Yet this was no normal replica, it was made out of rice krispie treats and covered in sugar paste. Entirely edible and very delicious!
